Required Skills: Experience in Cobol programming on IBM Mainframe platform.
In depth knowledge about IMS, DB2, Bind (Plan/Package)
Hands-on experience in JCL, CICS, IBM Utilities
Experience in Development and Enhancement using Cobol
Valuable Analytical skills to fix the production job failures (Abend)
Process / Tools: QMF, SPUFI, File Manager
Positive Verbal communication Technical documentation skills
Language: English
Experience Required - 3+ years of experience in IBM Mainframe Development with valuable knowledge on the database, Hands-on experience for production support
Relevant Experience - 3+ years in IBM Mainframe, DB2 Development production support
Roles Responsibilities
Carry out detailed analysis to understand requirements from the SME, Provide estimates.
Create low level design document that depicts the detailed workflow diagrams/flowchart for proposed solution like sequence and algorithm.
Apply knowledge of programming technologies to write/develop application programs using low level flowcharts prepared in design phase.
Prepare the unit test cases and necessary documentation/package to support the production deployments.
Production support for the Mainframe batch jobs during outside business hours.
Participate in customer meetings and provide status updates.
Update the application/project documentation, KEDB, SOP, etc.
Education - Bachelor s degree in engineering / science
