In this role, you ll design, build and maintain the high-volume business logic that runs on the mainframe. At the same time you ll play a key role in refactoring legacy code to enable contemporary cloud and mobile applications to seamlessly interact with the mainframe s core data.

Job description and skills required: Besides technical expertise also leadership skills are essential as the ultimate goal is for the candidate to guide an offshore team in the long run.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test and deploy microservices using Spring Boot 4 and Java 17+
Implement real-time event streaming solutions using Apache Kafka
Consume, transform, and enrich streaming data




Implement change-detection logic and publish current events when data changes occur
Integrate and optimize data persistence in MySQL
Deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure PaaS
Implement fault-tolerant, scalable, and highly available streaming applications
Configure retry mechanisms, dead-letter topics, and idempotent processing
Write unit, integration, and performance tests
Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines
