SDE Roles & Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices following clean architecture and coding standards.
Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and transactions using PostgreSQL/MySQL or similar databases.
Implement event-driven services using Kafka/RabbitMQ where required.
Build secure applications using authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, or Keycloak.
Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and testable code with appropriate unit and integration testing.
Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and production issues.
Participate in system design and architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
Implement appropriate logging,



monitoring, tracing, and alerting for production services.
Work with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering and security standards.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and technical discussions.
Take ownership of features from requirement analysis through development, deployment, and production support.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving engineering practices.
