Role & responsibilities
Provide deep technical accounting expertise under US GAAP and SEC requirements, including complex accounting research, preparation of technical memos, and presentation of conclusions to clients.
Lead implementation efforts and interpretation of accounting standards (ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, ASC 842 Leases, ASC 805 Business Combinations, etc.).
Prepare and review external financial reports for clients, auditors, and regulatory bodies, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statements, ensuring compliance with SEC reporting requirements.
Assist in designing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to address technical accounting issues and improve compliance.
Support purchase accounting, opening balance sheet preparation, and cash-to-accrual conversions following transactions.
Assess and enhance the financial close process with a focus on technical accuracy and timely reporting.
Act as liaison with external auditors on technical accounting matters and audit preparation.
Manage and lead technical accounting projects,
coordinating directly with client stakeholders.
Mentor and supervise staff on technical accounting topics, providing timely feedback and training.
Foster robust client relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex accounting issues.
Preferred candidate profile
CA / CPA strongly preferred.
Minimum 7 years (for Senior Manager) and 10 years (for Director) of experience in public accounting or technical accounting roles within industry.
Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting; IFRS exposure is a plus.
Expertise in technical areas such as revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), and purchase accounting (ASC 805).
Robust research, documentation, and communication skills for technical accounting positions.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work in a hybrid workplace (remote and in-person collaboration).
