Job Responsibilities
Set and operate CNC machines for manufacturing brass components as per drawings and specifications.
Perform machine setting, tool setting, tool offset adjustment, and workpiece alignment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
Set up jobs using collets, chucks, fixtures, and other work-holding devices.
Conduct first-piece inspection and make necessary offset corrections.
Monitor production quality and maintain required dimensional accuracy.
Use measuring instruments such as vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, and height gauge.
Identify and rectify basic machining, tooling, and setting problems.
Replace worn tools/inserts and optimize tool life where required.
Maintain production records, tool-setting records, and inspection reports.
Follow safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and production schedules.





Required Skills
Positive knowledge of CNC machine setting and operation.
Experience in brass component machining preferred.
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T; basics.
Valuable knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, speeds, and feeds.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
Valuable troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Qualification
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or related field preferred.
Relevant CNC machining experience will also be considered.
