Provide basic patient care at home and support daily activities and assists nurses or family members in maintaining patient comfort, safety, and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily activities: bathing, feeding, grooming, toileting
Support patient mobility: walking, repositioning, wheelchair transfers
Monitor and report basic vitals (BP, temperature, pulse, respiration)
Maintain hygiene of patient, bed, and surrounding area
Assist in medication reminders as per nurse/doctor instructions
Support elderly, bedridden, post-operative, or chronically ill patients
Follow infection control and safety protocols
Communicate patient condition to nurse, doctor, or family
Maintain patient privacy, dignity,
and emotional comfort
Skills & Requirements
Basic patient care knowledge
Compassionate and patient-focused approach
Ability to work in long shifts and home settings
Valuable communication with patients and families
Qualifications
10th / 12th pass
GDA / Nursing Assistant certificate preferred
Experience in home care or hospital is an advantage
