Key Responsibilities
Handle procurement of construction materials, MEP materials, equipment, tools and consumables.
Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and prepare comparative statements.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions with suppliers.
Issue Purchase Orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Billing/QS and Stores teams for material requirements.
Develop and maintain an approved vendor and supplier database.
Identify recent vendors and alternative materials to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
Monitor pending Purchase Orders, deliveries and shortages on a regular basis.
Verify material specifications, quantities and approved brands before placing orders.
Coordinate with accounts team for vendor payments and reconciliation.
Maintain proper procurement documentation, quotations, approvals, Purchase Orders and vendor records.
Monitor market prices of major construction materials and provide cost-saving recommendations to management.
Handle urgent site procurement requirements and ensure minimum disruption to project execution.
Evaluate vendor performance based on price, quality, delivery and service.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and project specifications.
Qualification & Experience
Graduate / Diploma / B.E. in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or relevant field.
5–10 years of procurement experience in construction / EPC companies.
Robust knowledge of construction materials, MEP items and vendor management
Proficiency in Excel, ERP / procurement software and preparation of comparative statements.
Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
