Position: Process Engineer / Mechanical Engineer (Power Plant Background)
Location: Recent Delhi
Experience: 5 to 15 Years

About the Role

IDOM India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking experienced professionals with expertise in engineering projects for power generation plants and water/desalination plants. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in mechanical/process engineering and proven experience in both basic and detailed engineering.

Key Responsibilities
Work on mechanical/process discipline within engineering projects for: • Power generation plants (combined cycle, thermal plants, cogeneration, balance of plant)
Perform basic and detailed engineering tasks.
Integrate gas turbine, HRSG, and steam turbine packages from consortium partners.
Design and analyze processes and systems, including:



• Design calculations • Preparation of P&IDs; • Line sizing • System descriptions and control narratives
Prepare tender documents, Material Requisitions (MR/RFQ), and conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE).
Develop specifications and datasheets for mechanical and BOP equipment (tanks, pumps, compressors, etc.).
Review supplier documentation and manage vendor development.
Ensure compliance with project standards and maintain technical rigor.

Candidate Profile

• Education: Bachelors degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in mechanical/process engineering for power plants.

• Advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written).

• Robust communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

• Self-driven, creative, and capable of working independently.
