About the Role

Drishti IAS is looking for skilled and experienced DTP Freelancers to support the growing workload of the DTP Department. The selected freelancers will be responsible for formatting, designing, and preparing books, handouts, study materials, and other educational content for publication and digital use.

The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, consistency, and the ability to deliver high-quality work within defined timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Format and typeset books, study materials, handouts, notes, and other educational content.

- Design and format pages according to the organization's prescribed templates and guidelines.

- Ensure proper alignment, spacing, pagination, headings, tables, images, and overall page layout.

- Work on Hindi and/or English educational content with appropriate formatting.

- Proofread formatted documents for typographical, formatting, and layout errors.

- Make corrections and revisions as per feedback from the editorial/content team.

- Prepare final files for printing, publishing, and digital distribution.

- Maintain consistency in fonts, styles, margins, page numbering, headers, footers, and other formatting elements.

- Coordinate with the content, editorial, and DTP teams to ensure timely completion of assignments.





- Handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks according to deadlines.

- Maintain quality and confidentiality of all educational content and organizational documents.

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of DTP and page layout/designing .

- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and other relevant DTP/designing tools.

- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/CorelDRAW will be an added advantage.

- Good understanding of Hindi and/or English typing and formatting.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to identify and rectify formatting and layout errors.

- Good time-management and deadline-management skills.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Ability to handle high-volume work and multiple assignments.

Experience

- 2+ years of relevant experience in DTP, typesetting, publishing, book formatting, or educational content formatting preferred.

- Experience in handling books, study material, magazines, educational publications, or similar content will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate

- Candidates who can commit to a long-term/permanent freelance engagement .

- Candidates who are available regularly and can support the department as per workload requirements.

- Prior experience with educational/publishing organizations will be preferred.
