Work location Kolkata --Virtual DriveJob DescriptionTata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking experienced Workday Payroll Functional Consultants to join its Workday practice. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Workday Payroll configuration, implementation, support, and enhancement projects, with a deep understanding of payroll business processes and stakeholder management.Key ResponsibilitiesGather, analyze, and document payroll business requirements.Configure and maintain Workday Payroll solutions based on business needs.Lead and support Workday Payroll implementation, enhancement, and support projects.Perform gap analysis and recommend Workday best practices.Configure payroll earning and deduction codes, pay groups, payroll calendars, and payroll processing rules.Support testing activities including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and payroll parallel runs.Coordinate with HR, Finance, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Absence Management teams.Manage payroll-related issues, troubleshoot defects, and provide production support.Prepare functional specifications, training materials,



and user documentation.Required SkillsHands-on experience in Workday Payroll Functional Consulting.Robust knowledge of: Workday PayrollPayroll ProcessingPayroll ConfigurationEarnings & DeductionsPayroll Tax SetupPayroll ReportingPeriod-End Payroll ActivitiesExperience in Workday implementation, rollout, support, or transformation projects.Knowledge of Workday HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, and Time Tracking integrations.Experience in requirement gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.Solid communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred SkillsWorkday Payroll Certification.Exposure to multi-country payroll implementations.Experience with Workday Reporting, EIB, and integrations.Knowledge of Workday Studio and Payroll Interfaces.Eligibility CriteriaOverall experience: 6-10 YearsRelevant experience in Workday Payroll.At least one end-to-end Workday implementation or support project.Excellent client-facing and communication skills.Willingness to work across TCS locations as per business requirements.Mandatory SkillWorkday PayrollRoleFunctional Consultant - Workday Payroll
