Job Title- VP – Global Brand Ventures & Partnerships Experience- 9-12 years Location- Netaji Subhash Place, Delhi About MARS- MARS Cosmetics is one of India's fastest-growing colour cosmetics companies selling across 11 channels - quick commerce, marketplaces, D2C and general trade, with in- house technology and supply chain built for speed. We are now building a portfolio of international beauty and personal-care brands in India through exclusive partnerships, licensing, JVs and strategic investments. The Mandate- Run the deal engine that brings exceptional international brands to India. You will originate opportunities globally, build the India business case, structure and drive negotiations, and manage every deal from first conversation to signed agreement working directly with the Directors throughout. The objective is not deal count. It is a small number of exceptional brands secured on exceptional terms, each capable of becoming a ₹100-500 Cr business in India in 3-4 years. What You'll Do- Originate. Build a global pipeline of high-potential beauty, skincare and personal-care brands through direct Founder relationships, investor and brand-house networks, and international trade shows (Cosmoprof, Beautyworld, in-cosmetics etc.). Find brands before they become obvious India opportunities. Evaluate. Build the India business case yourself: brand strength and consumer relevance, unit economics and landed costs (duty structure, transfer pricing), regulatory path (CDSCO import registration, Legal Metrology, BIS where applicable), channel fit, marketing investment and working-capital needs. Recommend clearly: pursue, renegotiate, or walk away. Structure & negotiate. Develop deal structures across exclusive distribution, licensing, JV,
strategic investment and localisation/manufacturing rights. Drive negotiation rounds on the terms that matter territory and channel exclusivity, margin and pricing architecture, purchase commitments, marketing obligations, equity and exit provisions and lead the closure of final terms. Protect long-term economics over speed to signature. Close. Run due diligence with legal, finance, supply chain and regulatory teams. Keep momentum with international counterparties so opportunities don't stall. Travel whenever face-to-face improves the probability or economics of a deal. Launch thesis. For signed brands, define the India launch recommendation positioning, pricing, assortment, channel sequencing. Post-signing, each brand transitions to a dedicated P&L; owner; you remain involved as deal sponsor, accountable for the partnership performing against the business case you built. Who You Are- • 9-12 years in consumer-focused private equity, investment banking, corporate development, or strategy/current-ventures teams at beauty and consumer organisations (Sephora, SSL, Nykaa, Reliance Brands, Tira, ABFRL/TMRW, brand houses, international distribution platforms). • You have worked complex commercial or investment deals end to end sourcing, diligence, modelling, term negotiation with real ownership of outcomes, not just support work. • Fluent in P&Ls;, unit economics and business case valuation; you can kill a deal with numbers, not just enthusiasm. • Persistent in negotiation without damaging relationships; comfortable building trust from a cold start in Seoul, London or New York. • Extremely high ownership, bias to closure and the judgment to tell the Directors "this brand looks exciting but the economics are terrible; don't do it."
