The Chance UST is seeking an experienced Workday Financials Consultant to support, configure, and enhance Workday Financial Management solutions across enterprise finance operations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Workday Core Financials modules, reporting, business process configuration, financial operations support, and stakeholder collaboration. This role will play a critical part in optimizing financial processes, supporting close activities, and driving continuous improvements across the Workday Financials landscape.
Key Responsibilities Provide functional support and configuration for Workday Financial Management modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management, Procurement, and Financial Accounting.
Configure and maintain business processes, approval workflows, and financial controls aligned with organizational policies and compliance requirements.
Support daily finance operations by troubleshooting production issues, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring timely resolution of Workday Financials-related challenges.
Lead and support Workday Financials enhancements, feature rollouts, and system updates.
Conduct impact assessments for Workday releases and patches and recommend appropriate actions.
Participate in Unit Testing, Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
Design, develop, and maintain Advanced Reports, Matrix Reports, Composite Reports,
and Dashboards.
Deliver reporting solutions that support finance operations, compliance requirements, audit readiness, and management decision-making.
Partner with Finance, HR, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize enhancements.
Collaborate with integration teams to support and troubleshoot Workday Financials integrations across enterprise systems.
Facilitate cross-functional discussions to improve business processes and system efficiency.
Support period-end and year-end financial close activities.
Ensure system readiness and maintain the integrity of financial data across Workday Financials modules.
Create and maintain configuration workbooks, process documentation, operational procedures, and support artifacts.
What You
Need (Required Qualifications) 5–8+ years of overall Workday experience with strong expertise in Workday Financial Management.
Hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday Financials modules including:
General Ledger (GL)
Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Cash Management
Procurement
Financial Accounting
Strong experience developing and maintaining Advanced Reports, Matrix Reports, and Composite Reports.
Hands-on experience with Workday Business Process Management (BPM), workflow configuration, and approval design.
Working knowledge of Workday Financials integrations and associated financial data flows.
Experience supporting finance operations within a global enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of period-end and year-end financial close processes.
Proven experience leading or contributing to Workday Financials enhancement initiatives and release management
