Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Welding Supervisor with strong knowledge of MIG and CO welding processes, fabrication, and engineering drawing reading. The candidate will be responsible for supervising welding activities, ensuring production targets are achieved, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring secure working practices on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day MIG and CO welding operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Allocate work to welders and ensure optimum manpower utilization.
- Monitor welding parameters such as current, voltage, wire feed speed, gas flow, and welding sequence.
- Inspect welded components for defects such as porosity, undercut, cracks, lack of fusion, spatter, and distortion.
- Coordinate with the Quality and Production teams to resolve welding and fabrication-related issues.
- Ensure proper fit-up, alignment, tack welding, and dimensional accuracy before and after welding.




- Coordinate with maintenance for welding machine breakdowns and equipment issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in welding/fabrication.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of MIG and CO welding.
- Good understanding of welding defects, inspection methods, and corrective actions.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering/fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Ability to achieve production targets while maintaining quality.

Preferred Skills Knowledge of WPS/PQR and welding standards will be an added advantage.

- Experience in handling welding fixtures and fabrication inspection.
- Knowledge of basic measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, measuring tape, weld gauge, and micrometer.
- Experience in reducing welding rejection and improving productivity.
