Job Purpose The Welder Trainer will be responsible for delivering theoretical and practical training to candidates in welding techniques, fabrication, equipment handling, welding safety, and basic metalwork. The trainer will ensure that trainees develop industry-relevant welding skills and are prepared for employment and practical assessments.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct classroom and practical welding training as per the approved curriculum.
- Demonstrate different welding techniques and safe operating procedures.
- Provide hands-on training using welding machines, tools, and equipment.
- Train candidates in electrode selection, welding parameters, joints, positions, and basic fabrication.
- Teach reading and understanding of basic welding drawings and measurements.
- Train candidates in preparation of metal surfaces and materials before welding.
- Demonstrate cutting, grinding, fitting, tack welding, and finishing techniques.
- Train candidates in identifying and correcting common welding defects.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and strict compliance with welding and workshop safety standards.
- Conduct practical demonstrations, tests, assessments, and skill evaluations.
- Maintain trainee attendance, assessment records, practical logs, and MIS reports.
- Maintain welding machines, tools, consumables, and workshop facilities.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of welding equipment and consumables.




- Identify trainees requiring additional practical support and provide remedial training.
- Support trainees in developing workplace discipline, productivity, and employability skills.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager/Centre Head regarding training progress and trainee performance.
- Participate in inspections, assessments, audits, and monitoring visits.

- Relevant industry-recognized welding certification is preferred.

Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant industry experience in welding/fabrication.
- Prior experience as a Welder Trainer/Instructor will be preferred.
- Experience in government, CSR, PMKVY, DDU-GKY, or other skill-development projects will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 per month
