WebRTC Engineer — TheOrange, Full-time What You'll Do • Own the WebRTC media pipeline end-to-end — ICE negotiation, SRTP/DTLS, codec selection (VP8/VP9/AV1, Opus), audio/video capture, and rendering

- Build and maintain 1:1 P2P and group calling features across Android (Kotlin/Compose) and iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) • Integrate and optimise our LiveKit SFU for group calls — room management, participant lifecycle, adaptive bitrate, and scalable media routing • Implement SFrame E2EE for all calls — AES-128-GCM encryption ensuring the SFU never sees plaintext media • Work with the E2EE team on Signal Protocol key exchange (Double Ratchet) to establish call encryption keys before ICE connect • Build platform-specific call management — Android ConnectionService (Telecom framework) and iOS CallKit • Implement call quality monitoring — jitter, packet loss, echo cancellation, noise suppression, and network diagnostics • Design VoIP push notification flows (FCM on Android, PushKit on iOS) for reliable incoming call delivery • Optimise battery and thermal performance on mobile — targeting idle CPU ≈ 0% when not in a call • Contribute to KMP shared call logic with platform-specific (expect/actual)



implementations for native WebRTC SDKs --- What You Bring • 4+ years of professional experience with WebRTC (native or browser-based)
- Deep understanding of RTP/RTCP, ICE/STUN/TURN, DTLS-SRTP, SDP negotiation, and media codecs • Experience with at least one SFU/MCU — LiveKit, Janus, mediasoup, Jitsi, or equivalent • Robust proficiency in Kotlin or Swift (ideally both) • Experience with real-time media encryption (SRTP, SFrame, or similar) • Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/UDP, WebSocket) and NAT traversal • Familiarity with Android Telecom framework or iOS CallKit --- Nice-to-Have Qualifications • Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) experience
