Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Weaving Manager (Airjet Looms) to lead and manage the weaving department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, improving loom efficiency, maintaining fabric quality, minimizing downtime, and leading the weaving team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The role requires strong technical expertise in Airjet weaving machines, production planning, quality control, and team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete Airjet weaving department and ensure smooth production operations.
- Plan daily production schedules to meet customer delivery timelines.
- Monitor loom efficiency, production output, fabric quality, and machine utilization.
- Reduce machine downtime by coordinating preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Analyze production losses and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Ensure fabric quality standards are maintained by minimizing defects and wastage.
- Optimize yarn consumption and control production costs.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Warping, and Dispatch departments.
- Supervise shift in-charges, supervisors, operators, and technicians.
- Monitor production KPIs such as:
- Loom Efficiency
- Production Output
- Fabric Rejection
- Warp & Weft Breakage
- Machine Downtime
- Wastage
- Ensure proper implementation of SOPs, safety practices,
and housekeeping (5S).
- Train and develop production staff to improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Textile Technology or Textile Engineering.
- 8-15 years of experience in weaving operations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing Airjet Looms.
- Experience with Toyota, Picanol, Tsudakoma, Itema, or similar Airjet weaving machines is preferred.

- Expertise in loom settings, fabric construction, yarn counts, and weaving parameters.

- ERP/MS Excel reporting.
