Job Summary

Excellon Software is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Consultant to join our HR team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in end-to-end payroll processing, HR Operations, statutory compliance, and employee lifecycle management, preferably within the IT/software industry.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with applicable statutory requirements and supporting key HR operational activities.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and execute the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing.
- Handle monthly payroll activities including salary processing, deductions, reimbursements, incentives, and Full & Final Settlements.
- Manage employee onboarding activities, including documentation, background verification coordination, HRMS updates, employee code creation, and joining formalities.
- Prepare and coordinate offer letters, appointment letters,



and other employment-related documentation.
- Coordinate employee insurance and mediclaim activities, including enrollment, additions/deletions, policy-related documentation, and employee queries.
- Ensure accurate employee data maintenance and updates in the HRMS and payroll systems.
- Manage and coordinate PF, ESIC, Skilled Tax, TDS, Labour Welfare Fund, and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Prepare payroll-related MIS, reports, reconciliations, and management dashboards.
- Support employee exit and Full & Final Settlement processes, including documentation and payroll closure.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable statutory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for improving and streamlining payroll and HR Operations processes.

Preferred candidate profile

- 7+ years of relevant experience in Payroll & HR Operations, preferably in the IT/software industry.
- Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
- Experience in employee onboarding and offer/appointment letter generation.
- Good understanding of employee lifecycle management.
- Experience handling employee insurance/mediclaim and benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of Indian payroll and statutory compliance.
