ABOUT EIGENDYNE

EigenDyne is a Tamil Nadu-based deep-tech robotics startup building adaptive, vision-driven robotic scanning systems for manufacturing and automotive OEM customers. Our engineering, robotics, and office operations rely on a reliable IT and systems backbone, and we are looking to strengthen this function as the team grows.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a dependable IT Support Engineer to manage and maintain our internal IT infrastructure, systems, and end-user support. You will be responsible for keeping workstations, networks, and lab/office IT systems running smoothly, supporting both office staff and engineering teams working with robotics hardware and software.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide first-level and second-level IT support to employees across office and lab/engineering environments
- Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and workstations (Windows/Linux) for staff and engineering use
- Manage and troubleshoot local network infrastructure: routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity
- Administer user accounts, access permissions, and basic cybersecurity hygiene (antivirus, backups, patching)
- Support setup and maintenance of IT systems used alongside robotics test rigs and lab equipment




- Maintain inventory of IT hardware/software assets and manage vendor coordination for procurement and repairs
- Troubleshoot software, hardware, printer, and peripheral issues in a timely manner
- Assist with basic server/cloud account management (email, file storage, backups) and documentation of IT procedures

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

- 2-3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar helpdesk/infrastructure role
- Hands-on experience with Windows and basic Linux system administration
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/Wi-Fi setup, IP addressing, troubleshooting connectivity issues)
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of desktops/laptops/peripherals
- Familiarity with user account management, basic cybersecurity practices, and data backup procedures
- Good communication skills and a service-oriented approach to supporting internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize effectively

PREFERRED / POSITIVE TO HAVE

- Experience supporting IT needs in an engineering, manufacturing, or lab environment
- Familiarity with cloud tools (Google Workspace/Microsoft 365) administration
- Basic scripting skills (Python/Bash/PowerShell) for automation of routine IT tasks
- Exposure to supporting specialized hardware/software used in robotics or CAD/engineering workflows

EDUCATION Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
