Illusiview is looking for a talented and creative Video Editor with a knack for producing highly engaging, retention-focused videos designed for Instagram and other social media platforms. This role requires an editor with a deep understanding of Gen Z trends and the ability to create captivating, fast-paced videos that hold the audience’s attention from start to finish. You will be joining a dynamic team focused on creating visually stunning content that resonates with young audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Edit and Produce Content: Craft eye-catching, high-retention videos tailored for Instagram, emphasizing Gen Z aesthetics and trending styles.

Content Enhancement: Use effects, transitions, text overlays, and visual storytelling techniques to enhance video engagement and retain viewers.

Trend Research: Stay up-to-date with social media trends, especially on Instagram and TikTok, to ensure that all content aligns with current styles and themes.

Collaboration: Work closely with our content creators, social media team, and marketing department to ensure each video aligns with Illusiview’s brand and content strategy.

Quick-Paced Editing: Utilize jump cuts, dynamic transitions, and speed ramping techniques to maintain viewer interest and create smooth, engaging video flow.

Graphics and Animation: Incorporate simple animations, motion graphics, and text effects where appropriate to elevate the content quality.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all content produced is high quality, meets brand standards, and is optimized for social media formats.

Requirements:

Proven experience in video editing, especially with a focus on Instagram and short-form, attention-retention video formats.





Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, CapCut).

Strong understanding of social media trends, specifically within Gen Z and youth culture.

Ability to tell a story visually, with minimal direction, and to edit videos that capture attention within the first few seconds.

Excellent understanding of video pacing, color grading, sound design, and effects to create captivating visuals.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

A portfolio of previous work showcasing expertise in Instagram or TikTok-style video editing is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with additional creative tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator for creating simple graphics.

Experience with social media analytics tools to understand what works and what doesn’t in terms of audience retention.

Creative problem-solver with a collaborative attitude and openness to feedback.
