Vendor Relations & Procurement Associate (Part-Time, Remote)About Us

Butter is a growing lifestyle products brand focused on products related to lifestyle. We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to help us build strong vendor relationships and streamline our procurement processes as we scale.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Vendor Relations & Procurement Associate to manage sourcing, vendor onboarding, and day-to-day procurement coordination. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys negotiation, relationship-building, and operational problem-solving, and who wants flexible, remote, part time work.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors and suppliers aligned with our product quality and pricing standards
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines with vendors
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers to ensure consistent quality and reliability
- Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory needs; follow up to prevent delays
- Compare vendor quotes and maintain a vendor database with pricing, lead times, and quality notes
- Coordinate sampling, quality checks, and approvals before bulk orders
- Flag supply chain risks (delays, quality issues, price fluctuations) proactively




- Support cost optimization by identifying better sourcing options where relevant
- Maintain clear documentation — contracts, invoices, communication logs
- Coordinate with design team and vendors for sampling and quality check.

Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, vendor management, sourcing, or supply chain (experience with lifestyle, home, fashion, or FMCG products preferred)
- Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple vendor relationships simultaneously
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with follow-ups and deadlines
- Basic proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) for tracking orders and vendor data
- Based in or familiar with sourcing hubs relevant to the brand (e.g., Mumbai, Delhi NCR, or other manufacturing clusters) is a plus
