Role Overview :We are looking for a Vendor Manager with at least 3 years of experience in the book and/or journal publishing industry to support outsourcing needs across teams. The role will manage freelancer onboarding, compliance, coordination, and payment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with internal teams to support outsourcing requirements
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard freelancers/vendors
- Manage a pool of publishing freelancers (editorial, design, production, XML, etc.)
- Ensure vendor contracts, NDAs, and agreements are completed
- Coordinate with finance for timely vendor payments
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendors
- Track vendor performance and maintain vendor records
Required Skills & Experience :
- Minimum 3 years experience in book and/or journal publishing
- Experience managing freelancers or external vendors
- Understanding of publishing workflows and outsourcing models
•Solid coordination and communication skills
•Working knowledge of contracts and payment processes
