A UX Designer is responsible for creating intuitive, accessible, and effective digital experiences across products and platforms. The role involves understanding user needs, translating insights into design solutions, and working closely with product and engineering teams to improve the overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and usability studies to understand user needs and behaviours.
- Translate research findings into user journeys, personas, information architecture, and design requirements.
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Design intuitive experiences for web, mobile, and digital products.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
- Identify usability issues and recommend practical improvements.
- Maintain consistency across products through design systems, patterns, and reusable components.
- Present design concepts and decisions clearly to stakeholders.
- Work with engineering teams to ensure accurate implementation of approved designs.
- Monitor product feedback and user behaviour to identify opportunities for experience improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design,
Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in UX, product design, interaction design, or a related discipline.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX design projects.
- Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design platforms.
- Robust understanding of user research, usability testing, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs.
- Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first principles.
- Strong knowledge of accessibility and user-centred design practices.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into simple and intuitive experiences.
- Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
Good to Have
- Experience designing B2B SaaS, enterprise, fintech, healthcare, or consumer products.
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
- Experience working with analytics tools and product usage data.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and frontend development workflows.
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
