About Role
AASI is looking for an experienced and highly organized US & India HR / Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Chennai office.
This position will support the U.S. HR Director from our India office while also managing recruitment and HR-related activities for the AASI India organization.
The role is broader than traditional recruitment and will involve U.S. recruitment, India recruitment, employee lifecycle management, HR administration, reporting, employee relations, training coordination, and general HR operations.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with U.S.-based leadership and employees, managing sensitive HR information
Role & responsibilities :
U.S. Recruitment & HR Support
- Support the U.S. HR Director with day-to-day HR and recruitment activities from the India office.
- Manage recruitment activities for U.S. positions, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, follow-ups, and hiring documentation.
- Coordinate with U.S. hiring managers and department leaders throughout the recruitment process.
- Maintain recruitment trackers and provide regular hiring updates.
- Support U.S. employee onboarding and related HR documentation.
- Coordinate and assist with employee training programs and training-related activities.
- Support U.S. HR processes and ensure required documentation and follow-ups are completed on time.
AASI India Recruitment & HR :
- Manage recruitment for AASI India across departments and functions.
- Coordinate with department managers regarding manpower requirements and open positions.
- Source, screen, interview, and coordinate candidates through the hiring process.
- Handle offer documentation, joining formalities, onboarding, and employee records.
- Maintain accurate employee and recruitment databases.
- Support workforce planning and ongoing hiring requirements.
Preferred candidate profile : Employee Lifecycle & HR Administration
- Handle employee onboarding and exit formalities.
- Coordinate resignation, termination, clearance,
final settlement, and other employee separation processes.
- Maintain employee records, attendance, leave, and HR documentation.
- Coordinate and track timesheets and overtime hours for employees supporting the U.S. and other offices.
- Assist with employee queries and coordinate resolution with management and HR leadership.
- Ensure HR processes and documentation are completed accurately and within required timelines.
Employee Relations & Disciplinary Support
- Support managers and HR leadership with employee relations matters.
- Assist with documentation of performance and conduct issues.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for warnings, write-ups, disciplinary actions, and corrective actions when required.
- Ensure HR processes are applied consistently and professionally.
- Maintain confidentiality of all employee-related matters.
HR Reporting
- Prepare regular HR and workforce reports for India and U.S. leadership.
- Prepare and maintain the bi-weekly Roster Report.
- Ensure the roster accurately reflects new hires, exits, transfers, and other employee changes.
- Prepare recruitment, headcount, turnover, attendance, overtime, and other HR reports as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR data.
Administrative & Corporate Support
- Coordinate employee and corporate requirements, including business cards for U.S. office employees and AASI/Drive Choice personnel.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure requests are completed accurately and on time.
- Support HR-related documentation, employee communications, and administrative requirements across U.S. and India operations.
- Assist with audits,
internal reviews, and other HR-related projects as required.
Requirements
- 36+ years of experience in HR, Talent Acquisition, Recruitment, or HR Operations.
- Strong experience in end-to-end recruitment and hiring processes.
- Experience working with U.S.-based teams or U.S. recruitment is highly preferred.
- Experience with employee onboarding, exits, HR administration, and employee records.
- Experience handling HR reports, timesheets, overtime, attendance, and workforce data.
- Ability to handle employee relations and disciplinary documentation professionally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
- Willingness to work night shifts and 5-6 days per week.

Shift: Night Shift
Walk-In Interviews are conducted every Tuesday & Thursday
Time: 7:30 PM - 11:00 PM
