Job Summary

Local POS Depot is looking for an experienced US Accountant to join our Ahmedabad team and support our US-based operations and clients.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with US accounting, bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and US GAAP. Candidates should also be comfortable working with accounting software such as QuickBooks and using technology and AI tools to improve productivity.

This is an on-site position in Vastrapur, Ahmedabad.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain the general ledger and perform day-to-day bookkeeping for US-based clients.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Process payroll and perform payroll reconciliations.
- Assist with US sales tax and payroll tax compliance.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with CPAs and other professionals during tax filings and audits.
- Generate financial and management reports using accounting software.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure accounting activities comply with US GAAP and company policies.
- Research, apply for, follow up on, and maintain applicable US business licenses when required.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance,



or a related field.
- 2–5+ years of experience in US Accounting.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop.
- Experience with accounting platforms such as NetSuite, Xero, Sage Intacct, or similar software is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Payroll
- Bank Reconciliation
- Journal Entries
- General Ledger
- Financial Statements
- Month-end and year-end closing
- Robust Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet reporting deadlines.
- Ability to work in US time zones when required.

Pay: ₹8,602.25 - ₹41,731.70 per month
