Role & responsibilities

1. Instrumentation Maintenance

- Maintain and troubleshoot field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, level, pH, conductivity and other process instruments.
- Attend breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime.
- Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance as per schedule.
- Maintain critical instrumentation for production and utility equipment.

1. Calibration

- Plan and execute calibration of instruments as per approved calibration schedules.
- Maintain calibration records, certificates and history cards.
- Ensure calibration is performed using approved procedures and traceable standards.
- Investigate calibration failures and out-of-tolerance conditions.

1. PLC / SCADA / Control Systems

- Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA and control systems.
- Monitor automation systems and support production during process-related issues.
- Coordinate with automation vendors for system modifications and troubleshooting.
- Maintain appropriate backup of PLC/SCADA programs in accordance with company procedures.

1. Pharmaceutical Equipment

- Support instrumentation maintenance for equipment such as:

- Manufacturing vessels

- Reactors

- Granulators

- Coating machines

- Tablet compression machines

- Filling and packing equipment

- Autoclaves

- HVAC systems

- Water treatment systems
- Compressed air and other utilities

1. Qualification & Validation

- Support IQ/OQ/PQ and validation activities related to instruments and automated systems.
- Provide technical support for equipment qualification and process validation.
- Maintain documentation required for GMP and regulatory audits.

1. GMP & Compliance

- Ensure instrumentation activities comply with GMP, SOPs,



safety procedures and data-integrity requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and equipment history.
- Participate in internal, customer and regulatory audits.
- Support CAPA, deviation and change-control activities related to instrumentation.

1. Documentation

- Prepare and maintain:

- Preventive maintenance records

- Calibration records

- Breakdown reports

- Instrument history cards

- SOPs and work instructions
- Change-control documents

- Qualification documents
- Spare-parts records

1. Projects & Installation

- Support installation and commissioning of new instruments and automation systems.
- Review instrument specifications, datasheets, P&IDs; and technical documents.

- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for instrumentation projects.
- Assist in modification and improvement of existing systems.

1. Spare Parts & Vendor Management

- Identify critical instrumentation spare parts.
- Maintain adequate inventory of critical spares.
- Coordinate with suppliers and service providers for repairs, calibration and technical support.

1. Safety

- Follow electrical, instrumentation, process and pharmaceutical plant safety requirements.
- Ensure protected isolation and maintenance practices before working on equipment.
- Participate in safety inspections and risk assessments.
