JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Unity Developer to join our development team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Unity development, a keen eye for detail, a strong portfolio and a passion for creating high-quality narrative driven games. You will work to implement core gameplay functionality as per specification in a clean, modular manner and ensure a fun user experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop features by writing clean, modular and maintainable code for the game.
2. Collaborate to implement gameplay features and functionality as per communicated design
3. Optimise features for performance, quality, and responsiveness.
4. Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure a smooth user experience.
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate best practices into development.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. 1-2 years professional experience as a Unity game developer
2. Ability and willingness to adapt and learn new skills on the job
3.



Solid understanding of the .NET framework, version control software (preferably PlasticSCM/UVCS), testing, and optimization techniques.
4. Strong understanding of Unity's core systems and APIs
5. Understanding of OOP concepts like composition, code design patterns and writing clean code
6. Understanding of the Agile development lifecycle
7. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
8. Robust problem-solving skills and effective time management
9. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

GOOD TO HAVES:

1. Experience in designing and creating 3D models
2. Knowledge in other aspects of game development like UI/UX or SFX.
