Role Description The Tyre Service Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mengio. This role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and assessing the condition of tyres to determine appropriate repair, retreading, or re-engineering methods in line with REGRIP’s sustainability standards.

Engineer performs hands-on tyre servicing, including mounting, balancing, repair, tread restoration, and quality checks, ensuring all work meets safety and performance requirements. The role includes maintaining service equipment, documenting service procedures, and accurately recording tyre condition and service outcomes for traceability.

Engineer collaborates with production, quality, and safety teams, supports continuous improvement of processes and technologies, and provides technical guidance to colleagues and customers on tyre maintenance and best practices.

Qualifications

- Strong technical skills in tyre inspection, repair, retreading, and re-engineering, with the ability to diagnose wear patterns and structural issues.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to tyres and vehicles, and familiarity with relevant safety standards and industry regulations.
- Experience working with tyre service tools and equipment, including mounting, balancing, cutting, and testing machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, service manuals, and quality specifications, and to complete accurate service reports.
- Commitment to environmental sustainability and circular economy principles, with an interest in waste reduction and resource efficiency.
- Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to work safely and efficiently in an on-site workshop or industrial environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across operations, quality, and safety teams.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field; prior experience in tyre service or automotive maintenance is an advantage.
