## Placement Officer – Shoolini Online

### About the Role

Shoolini Online is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Placement Officer to drive career outcomes for students enrolled in its online degree programmes.

The role will be responsible for building and managing relationships with employers, identifying relevant job and internship opportunities, coordinating recruitment processes, preparing students for employment, and ensuring a seamless placement experience from student profiling and employability preparation to interview and final selection.

The ideal candidate should have strong corporate relations, recruitment, business development and student engagement skills, with a clear understanding of the online education and digital hiring ecosystem.

### Key Responsibilities

1. Employer & Corporate Relations

- Build and maintain strong relationships with companies, recruiters, staffing firms and industry partners.
- Identify organisations actively hiring graduates and professionals across relevant sectors.
- Develop a strong employer network for Shoolini Online students.
- Pitch Shoolini Online talent pools and create customised hiring partnerships.
- Negotiate and coordinate recruitment drives, job opportunities and internship programmes.

2. Placement & Recruitment Management

- Own the end-to-end placement process for eligible online students.
- Identify and source relevant job openings across functions such as IT, BFSI, Sales, Marketing, HR, Operations, Analytics and other sectors.
- Coordinate virtual and physical recruitment drives, interviews, assessments and selection processes.
- Maintain a structured database of students, employers, vacancies, interviews and placement outcomes.
- Track offer-to-joining conversion and resolve recruitment-related issues.

3. Student Career Readiness

- Work closely with students to understand their career goals, skills, experience and job preferences.
- Conduct or coordinate sessions on resume building, LinkedIn, interview preparation,



communication and employability skills.
- Facilitate mock interviews, aptitude assessments and other career-readiness initiatives.
- Guide students towards suitable job opportunities based on their profiles.
- Encourage students to actively participate in placement and career-development activities.

4. Data & Placement Operations

- Maintain accurate placement MIS and recruitment dashboards.
- Track key metrics including students registered, opportunities generated, interviews conducted, offers received, joining status and placement conversion.
- Prepare periodic placement reports for management.
- Analyse hiring trends and student outcomes to improve placement strategies.
- Ensure timely communication with students and recruiters throughout the hiring cycle.

5. Industry & Career Development

- Conduct market research to understand emerging job roles, skills and salary trends.
- Build partnerships for internships, live projects, apprenticeships and entry-level employment.
- Collaborate with academic, admissions, marketing and student-success teams to strengthen career outcomes.
- Gather employer feedback and use it to improve student employability initiatives.

- Number of verified job and internship opportunities generated
- Student placement/selection conversion rate
- Interview-to-offer and offer-to-joining ratio
- Number of recruitment drives conducted

### Eligibility & Experience

- Graduate/Master’s degree in Management, HR, Business Administration,



Education or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in placements, corporate relations, recruitment, talent acquisition, career services or business development.
- Experience in a university, higher-education institution, EdTech, online education company, recruitment firm or employability organisation will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Indian graduate and early-career hiring market.

### Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is someone who can open doors with employers, convert those relationships into hiring opportunities, and ensure students are genuinely prepared to succeed in the recruitment process.

Candidates from EdTech, online universities, placement cells, recruitment agencies, staffing companies or corporate talent acquisition teams with strong employer networks will be preferred.
