Job Summary To provide training to students, teachers and parents in 50 schools for the mental health first-aid programme with counselling tools developed by LIGHTS and IHBAS. You will work with a team of 8 members.
Key Responsibilities Duties:
- Assessment Planning: Conduct literature- and practice-based assessments to support counselling tool development.
- Psychoeducation: Facilitate sessions for students, teachers and parents on stress, depression, addiction, trauma and self-image.
- Intervention: Help create peer groups in schools for long-term support.
- Documentation: Maintain confidential records, progress notes and reports.
- Collaboration Referral: Liaise with school leadership and parents for continuity of care and referrals.
- Professional Development: Keep up to date with best practices and ethical standards.
Qualifications Requirements
- Masters degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Child Development, or related field.
- Proven experience in mental health counselling; experience with group work is preferred.
- Skills: empathy, active listening, communication, conflict resolution, crisis management, cultural competency, clinical assessment.
Key Competencies - Holistic wellness approach Salary: Between INR 35,000 and 50,000 per month (in hand), based on experience.
Experience: More than 1 year qualifies for Junior Counsellor; 2+ years qualifies for Senior Counsellor.
