HP Singh is India's largest fabric destination with over 50 years of heritage, offering one of the country's most extensive collections of premium textiles. We work closely with fashion brands, designers, exporters, manufacturers, and retailers to create commercially successful textile collections.

Our in-house print design studio develops textile artworks for different fabric categories. We are looking for passionate young designers who want hands-on experience creating commercial textile prints and working on real industry projects.

Role Summary The Textile Print Design Intern will work closely with the Print Design Team to support the creation and development of textile print collections. This role is ideal for someone passionate about surface pattern design, textile graphics, motifs, and colour.

The intern will assist in concept research, motif development, asset creation, print file preparation, fabric selection, and executing design briefs for commercial textile collections. This is a highly practical role where you will contribute to live projects from research through to production-ready artwork.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Print Design team in developing textile print collections.
- Create and refine motifs and elements,ready to use in multiple print settings
- Develop seamless repeat patterns, engineered placements, borders, and coordinated print layouts.
- Assist in preparing production-ready print files for digital and screen printing.
- Conduct trend research across fashion, textiles,



colour, prints, and global design directions.
- Support the design team in translating creative briefs into commercially relevant print concepts.
- Assist in fabric selection based on print aesthetics.
- Organize print libraries, artwork archives, colourways, and digital assets.
- Help create multiple colourways and print variations.
- Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, and product development teams whenever required.

- Basic understanding of digital drawing tablets/iPad workflow
- Design Skills
- Strong understanding of textile print design.
- Ability to create motifs and artwork.
- Understanding of seamless repeat construction.
- Knowledge of colour theory and colour balancing.
- Basic understanding of textile printing processes.
- Strong composition and layout skills.
- Good illustration and drawing ability.
- Excellent attention to detail.

Preferred Candidate Profile We're looking for someone who:

- Is pursuing or has completed a degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Surface Design, Communication Design, or a related field.
- Has a strong interest in textile prints and surface pattern design.
- Has a keen eye for colour, composition, and detail.
- Is curious about trends and can translate research into commercially relevant designs.
- Is proactive, organized,



and willing to learn.
- Can take feedback positively and iterate quickly.
- Has a portfolio showcasing print design, illustrations, motifs, or pattern development.
