Role Description The Tender &

- Estimation Engineer role is a full time, on-site position based in Chennai. The individual in this role will be responsible for preparing and reviewing quantity take-offs, bills of quantities (BOQ), and detailed cost estimates for building and civil engineering projects. Day-to-day activities include analyzing drawings and specifications, conducting market research on materials and labor rates, coordinating with project, design, and procurement teams, and preparing tender documents and bid proposals. The role involves evaluating vendor quotations, supporting negotiations, and ensuring that estimates align with technical requirements, company standards,



and client expectations. The Tender &
- Estimation Engineer will also contribute to value engineering, risk assessment, and post-tender clarification, while maintaining accurate records and reports for management review.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong project estimation and BOQ preparation skills, including quantity take-offs and cost analysis for building and civil works.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in civil engineering, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Candidates should possess effective negotiation skills to engage with vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders on pricing and contract terms.
- Candidates should possess research capabilities to gather market data, benchmark costs, and support value engineering and risk assessment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline is preferred.
- Experience in tendering and estimation for large-scale building or infrastructure projects, ideally within the Indian construction sector.
- Proficiency in estimation and MS Office tools; familiarity with construction management or costing software is an advantage.
- Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work under deadlines in a project-driven environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
