Role Description The Tekla Modeler - AISC role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The role involves creating and modifying detailed 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures in accordance with AISC standards and project specifications.

The Tekla

Modeler will prepare shop drawings, erection plans, connection details, and reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality and safety requirements. Daily tasks include coordinating with engineering and detailing teams,



interpreting design drawings, resolving discrepancies, and updating models to reflect design changes and client feedback. The role also includes maintaining documentation, meeting project timelines, and supporting project managers and senior engineers in delivering high-quality detailing outputs.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures for structural steel modeling and detailing, with working knowledge of AISC standards and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and connection details.
- Experience preparing shop drawings, erection drawings, and related documentation for steel structures.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards relevant to steel detailing and fabrication, and basic understanding of BIM workflows.
- Valuable computer skills, including CAD tools and MS Office, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with engineers, detailers, and project teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, with prior experience in structural steel detailing; experience in AEC industry projects is an advantage.

- Willingness to work on-site in Chennai and adapt to evolving project requirements and technologies.
