Engineering Lead

Experience: 8 to 12 years

Work mode: In office (5 days a week, 6 days depending on work load)

KRAs

- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 8-12 engineers including Backend Developers, Frontend Developers, DevOps/SRE Engineers, and AI/ML specialists. Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, career development planning, and technical coaching.
- Technical Strategy & Architecture: Define technical roadmap and architecture decisions for platform engineering initiatives. Collaborate with senior leadership on technology strategy, platform scalability, and innovation opportunities for trading systems.
- Project Management & Delivery: Oversee end-to-end delivery of platform engineering projects including microservices development, infrastructure automation, real-time data processing systems, and AI/ML model deployments with strict adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:



Partner closely with Product Management, QA, Security, Compliance, and Business stakeholders to ensure engineering solutions align with business requirements and regulatory standards for financial services.
- Engineering Excellence: Establish and enforce engineering best practices including code reviews, testing standards, documentation, security practices, and operational excellence for high-availability trading systems processing millions of transactions daily.
- Resource Planning & Hiring: Plan team capacity, manage resource allocation across multiple projects, lead technical hiring initiatives, and build diverse, high-performing engineering teams aligned with business growth objectives.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Drive system performance initiatives ensuring sub-millisecond latency for trading operations, 99.999% uptime during market hours, and scalable infrastructure supporting 10x growth in transaction volumes.

Technical Requirements - Engineering Leadership, Java/Go/Python, AWS/Azure/GCP, CI/CF, IaC, Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), Regulatory requirements (SOC 2, PCI DSS), Excellent communication.
