Company Description GreenTree Global is a leading sustainability consulting organization specializing in energy efficiency and climate change services, including integrated sustainability solutions, carbon accounting and trading, and energy and carbon assessments across buildings, MSMEs, and DISCOMs. The company provides support for ECBC and ENS compliances, feasibility studies, and green rating certifications, as well as ESG and EHS services and MSME energy efficiency and financing.

The current role is for a new initiative called Greeniti which is an AI-driven technology initiative for providing intelligent digital solutions for sustainable infrastructure.

Role Description We are looking for a hands-on Founding Tech Lead for our Noida office to build the core technology from the ground up. You will be working directly with the Founder and domain experts to turn product's vision into a production-quality platform.

The initial technology team is expected to be small — beginning with a senior geospatial/GIS engineer and a full-stack AI/software engineer. Specialist external support may be used where practical, but the core architecture, product technology and engineering capability will remain in-house.

Responsibilities:

- Own the technical architecture and engineering roadmap for the MVP and subsequent product releases.
- Personally build and lead the initial product rather than operating primarily as a people manager.
- Translate complex transmission, regulatory and infrastructure problems into clear technical specifications and software that users can rely on.
- Build and lead a small, high-calibre internal engineering team.
- Own the technical design and implementation of AI, backend, data, APIs and platform services, working closely with the GIS/geospatial specialist.




- Establish the engineering standards, development practices, testing and deployment processes from day one.
- Decide what should be built internally, what can be accelerated through specialist contractors, and what should not be built yet.
- Own technical discussions with customers, domain experts, partners and potential investors.
- Progressively take responsibility for entire technology organisation, with a path to CTO as the company scales.

Qualifications

- 8–12 years of experience in software, AI/ML or technology product development, including meaningful technical ownership. Exceptional candidates outside this range may be considered.
- Strong hands-on software engineering capability, especially Python, backend systems, APIs, databases and modern application architecture.
- Strong practical understanding of LLMs, RAG, AI agents, model APIs and evaluation — with experience taking AI-enabled products beyond prototypes.
- Ability to architect and build a production system rather than only individual AI components.
- Experience with cloud platforms, containers, CI/CD, security and production deployment.
- Strong interest or experience in GIS, geospatial systems, spatial databases, routing, optimisation or location intelligence is highly preferred.
- Ability to understand complex domain problems and collaborate with regulatory, transmission, GIS and infrastructure specialists.
- Evidence of building or leading a product from 0→1, preferably in a startup or similarly high-ownership environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Data Science or a related field.
