Senior Manager – Technical | Lab Engineering & Technical Operations

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on technical leader to manage the design, deployment, commissioning and ongoing operations of Centres of Excellence, technical laboratories and automation infrastructure.

The role involves end-to-end project ownership, OEM coordination, site execution, technical operations and multi-site team management. This is a field-oriented technical role, not a teaching position.

Key Responsibilities

- Design labs, equipment layouts, utilities and detailed BOQs.
- Manage procurement, OEM coordination, logistics and vendor timelines.
- Lead site readiness, installation, commissioning, testing and handover.
- Deliver projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Manage preventive maintenance, uptime, spares, AMC and technical support.
- Coordinate with OEMs on specifications, configuration, training and warranties.
- Lead contractors and engineering teams across multiple sites.
- Ensure electrical, laboratory and statutory safety compliance.
- Support technical solutioning,



costing and new project proposals.
- Develop and certify internal engineering teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Computer Science.
- 7–14 years of industry experience in industrial automation, technical infrastructure, lab deployment, BMS, AI/GPU infrastructure, manufacturing engineering or related domains.
- End-to-end ownership of at least 3 technical projects valued at ₹1 crore or above.
- Hands-on expertise in at least two of: PLC/HMI, SCADA/DCS, industrial robotics, BMS, AI/GPU infrastructure.
- Strong OEM/vendor coordination experience covering specification, procurement, FAT and warranty.
- Experience managing site works including electrical, networking, HVAC and civil readiness.
- Strong understanding of technical installation safety and compliance.

Preferred
- Multi-site/multi-city project delivery experience.
- International deployment or commissioning exposure.
- OEM certifications will be added advantage
- Experience with GPU/HPC infrastructure.
- Experience managing engineering teams.
