About the Role

We are embedding AI across our entire product ecosystem, and this role will lead that transformation.

As an Engineering Lead – AI Full-Stack, you will lead the engineering team responsible for building AI-powered capabilities into production applications. This is a highly hands-on technical leadership role where you will architect systems, write production code, mentor senior engineers, review designs, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

You will work across the complete technology stack—from frontend interfaces and backend services to AI orchestration layers and LLM-powered applications.

You will initially lead development across the myCPE platform, internal admin applications,

and customer-facing web products.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership

- Lead and mentor a team of 5–8 software engineers, including senior developers and

technical leads.
- Establish engineering standards, coding guidelines, and architectural best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and design reviews while ensuring production quality.
- Grow the engineering team into AI-capable full-stack developers.
- Drive technical decision-making and software architecture.

Full-Stack Development

Design, build, and maintain production-grade applications by developing:

- Database schemas
- Backend APIs
- Frontend applications
- AI orchestration layers
- Third-party integrations

Own features from concept to deployment.

AI Product Development

Build intelligent product capabilities including:

- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- AI Assistants & Agents
- Tool-use workflows
- Conversational AI
- Document extraction and generation
- Semantic search
- Content recommendation
- Classification pipelines
- Workflow automation using LLMs





AI Quality & Reliability Own the quality of AI systems by improving:

- Retrieval accuracy
- Hallucination reduction
- Prompt engineering
- AI evaluation frameworks
- Cost optimization
- Response latency
- Production monitoring
- Regression testing

Cross-functional Collaboration

- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Business Teams, and Leadership.
- Help stakeholders identify where AI creates real business value—and where it does

not.

Required Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
- Proven experience owning full-stack applications from frontend through backend.
- 3+ years leading engineering teams as an Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, or equivalent.
- Experience leading teams of software engineers with accountability for delivery and technical quality.
- Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered features to production.
- Strong understanding of:
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Prompt Engineering
- AI Agents
- Tool-use workflows
- Vector databases

 Ability to explain:
- Retrieval architecture
- AI quality evaluation
- Hallucination control
- Production cost considerations




- Strong SQL and relational database design skills.
- Expertise in API design and scalable software architecture.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Based in Ahmedabad or willing to relocate.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with PHP/Laravel, or the ability to quickly adapt to new frameworks.
- Experience building Agentic AI workflows and multi-step LLM applications.
- Experience implementing AI evaluation and observability, including:
- Golden datasets
- Regression testing
- Drift detection
- AI monitoring
- Product company experience with long-term ownership of systems.
- Exposure to accounting, tax, audit, finance, or professional education products.

What Is Not Required

You do not need

 A Master's degree or PhD.

 Experience training or fine-tuning language models.

 Machine Learning research experience.

 Prior experience with our exact technology stack.

This Role Is Not

 A Data Science or Machine Learning Research role.

 A Backend-only engineering position.

 A Pure AI Infrastructure role.

 A Management-only position—you will contribute production code regularly.

 A Remote or Hybrid role. This is a full time, Work From Office position based in Ahmedabad.
