About the Role:
We are seeking an accomplished Technical Operations Manager to lead our Digital Operations Team and serve as the strategic technical authority for our enterprise digital ecosystem. This pivotal role encompasses the management, optimization, and scaling of sophisticated Content Management Systems (CMS), marketing automation platforms, web applications, and integrated marketing analytics infrastructure. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, establish best practices, and architect solutions that balance innovation with stability while managing complex multi-platform environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Digital Operations Team, establishing performance standards and fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture
- Oversee the management and maintenance of Content Management Systems (CMS) and marketing automation platforms, ensuring their integration and optimal performance.
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of web applications, ensuring they meet performance, security, and usability standards.
- Lead the managed services team responsible for marketing and analytics tagging, ensuring accurate implementation and data integrity.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational effectiveness and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
to maintain consistency and quality across all digital operations.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, career development planning, and succession planning initiatives.
- Oversee the administration, configuration, and optimization of enterprise CMS platforms, with hands-on expertise in 2+ of the following:
- Manage CMS infrastructure including environment promotion (dev/staging/production), backup strategies, and disaster recovery
- Establish CMS governance policies, content workflows, and quality assurance processes
- Monitor CMS performance metrics (uptime, page load times, query performance) and implement optimization initiatives
- Manage CMS security compliance including user access controls, permission hierarchies, and vulnerability assessments
- Lead CMS upgrade and migration projects, ensuring zero/minimal downtime
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all digital operations functions
- Manage the change management process for platform updates, migrations, and new implementations
- Conduct post-incident reviews and implement preventive measures
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years in technical operations management, platform administration, or digital infrastructure management
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise CMS platforms, with demonstrated expertise in 2 or more of: Drupal, Sitecore, AEM, WordPress Enterprise, or equivalent platforms
- Strong understanding of CMS platforms, marketing automation tools, and web application management.
- Exposure with marketing and analytics tagging tools.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex digital operations in rapid paced environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and Agile methodologies is a plus.
