About the Role

Kanakkupillai is looking for an experienced CA / Semi-Qualified CA / CMA professional with strong expertise in Audit, Taxation, Compliance, and Team Management. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of working in a Chartered Accountant or Audit Firm and possess the ability to independently manage multiple clients, lead teams, and ensure timely completion of assignments.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and execute Statutory Audits, Internal Audits, and Compliance Audits for multiple clients.
- Handle GST compliance, including GST return filing, assessments, notices, reconciliations, and advisory.
- Manage Income Tax compliance, including ITR filing, tax planning, assessments, notices, and related advisory.
- Review and oversee the preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and audit reports.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accountants, audit executives, and audit staff.
- Allocate assignments, monitor team performance, and ensure timely completion of client deliverables.
- Coordinate and liaise effectively with clients, statutory auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
- Review accounting and financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Handle multiple client assignments simultaneously while ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
- Identify financial, accounting,



and compliance risks and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Stay updated with changes in GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team on complex audit, taxation, and compliance matters.

Requirements

- CA / Semi-Qualified CA / CMA qualification.
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in a CA Firm, Audit Firm, or professional services environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of GST, Income Tax, Auditing, Accounting, and statutory compliances.
- Proven experience in team handling, leadership, and client management.
- Hands-on experience in managing multiple clients and assignments independently.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in handling GST and Income Tax assessments/notices.
- Strong understanding of audit procedures and financial statement finalization.
- Experience in managing and mentoring accounting/audit teams.
- Good knowledge of accounting and taxation software, Tally, MS Excel, and other relevant tools.
- Prior experience in a client-facing role within a CA or audit firm will be an added advantage.
