Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated Tamil Teacher to join our CBSE school. The candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Tamil lessons, developing students' language and literary skills, and creating a positive, inclusive, and student-centred learning environment.

The teacher should have a strong command of Tamil language, grammar, literature, reading, writing, and communication skills, along with the ability to use innovative and activity-based teaching methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, question papers, and teaching-learning materials.
- Develop students' skills in Tamil reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension.
- Teach Tamil language and literature using age-appropriate and engaging methodologies.
- Use storytelling, poetry, role play, discussions, activities, games, and other experiential learning techniques.
- Encourage students to develop an appreciation for Tamil language, literature, culture, history, and heritage.
- Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial teaching and individual support.
- Maintain accurate records of students' academic performance, attendance, and progress.
- Use digital resources and smart-classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Maintain an engaging, disciplined, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Participate in school assemblies, cultural programmes, competitions, celebrations, clubs,



and other co-curricular activities.
- Encourage students to participate in Tamil-related activities such as elocution, essay writing, poetry, storytelling, debates, and literary competitions.
- Communicate students' academic progress and areas of improvement to parents when required.
- Collaborate with colleagues and coordinators for curriculum planning and student development.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programmes, workshops, and career development activities.
- Maintain all academic documentation and complete assigned responsibilities within stipulated timelines.
- Follow school policies, CBSE guidelines, child-safety practices, and academic procedures.

Educational Qualification

Essential:

- Bachelor's Degree with Tamil / Tamil Literature as a subject from a recognised university.
- Relevant teacher-training qualification such as B.Ed. / D.El.Ed., as applicable to the level being taught.

Preferred:

- Master's Degree in Tamil / Tamil Literature.
- Experience teaching Tamil in a CBSE / ICSE / reputed English-medium school.
- Knowledge of the CBSE/NCERT curriculum and assessment practices.
- Good proficiency in English for professional communication.
- Knowledge of digital teaching tools and smart-classroom resources.

Experience
- 2–5 years of teaching experience in a reputed school is preferred.
- Candidates with strong subject knowledge and teaching aptitude may also be considered based on the school's requirements.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
