Position: Tableau Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Tableau Developer with strong experience in Tableau, SQL, dashboard development, and requirement gathering . The candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, preparing and analyzing data, developing interactive Tableau dashboards, and communicating effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into effective BI and reporting solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau .
- Create dashboards with appropriate charts, filters, parameters, calculated fields, KPIs, and drill-down functionality.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, validate, and analyze data from databases.
- Work with business users to understand reporting needs and convert requirements into technical specifications.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure dashboard accuracy and data quality.
- Develop visually appealing dashboards following Tableau best practices and user experience standards.
- Troubleshoot dashboard, data, and performance-related issues.
- Optimize Tableau workbooks and SQL queries for better performance.
- Publish and maintain Tableau dashboards on Tableau Server/Cloud and manage appropriate access where required.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Clearly communicate technical concepts,



findings, and dashboard insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in requirement discussions, reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

Required Skills
- Solid hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud .
- Strong knowledge of SQL , including joins, subqueries, CTEs, aggregations, and window functions.
- Experience in dashboard creation, visualization, and data storytelling using Tableau.
- Good understanding of data sources, data modeling, and data validation.
- Strong requirement gathering and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical and dashboard specifications.
- Good understanding of Tableau calculated fields, parameters, filters, actions, and LOD expressions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills .
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Tableau performance optimization.
- Knowledge of Tableau Server/Cloud administration and publishing.
- Experience working with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake.
- Knowledge of ETL/data warehouse concepts.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
