Position: Manager / Senior Manager – Talent Acquisition, Compliance & HR Operations

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR professional to manage Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Statutory Compliance, and employee-related processes.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in recruitment, HR operations, labour law compliance, employee engagement, and HR documentation, preferably within the Dairy, Food Processing, FMCG, Manufacturing, or similar industry.
The role will work closely with business and functional heads to build a robust workforce, ensure compliance, and establish efficient HR processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities1. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies based on business and manpower requirements.
- Handle end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer management, and onboarding.
- Build talent pipelines for plant, production, quality, sales, distribution, supply chain, finance, and corporate functions.
- Manage recruitment through job portals, consultants, employee referrals, campus hiring, and other channels.
- Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower requirements and prepare hiring plans.
- Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, offer-to-joining ratio, and attrition.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and induction of new employees.
1. HR Operations
- Manage employee lifecycle processes from joining to separation.
- Maintain employee records, HRIS/database, personnel files, attendance, leave, and related documentation.
- Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs, and processes.
- Manage payroll coordination, attendance, leave, incentives, and employee-related documentation.
- Support performance management, appraisal, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Prepare HR MIS and periodic reports for management.
- Handle employee grievances and support resolution of workplace issues.
1. Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Manage and coordinate statutory compliance relating to PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Payment of Wages, Contract Labour, Shops & Establishments/Factories requirements, as applicable.
- Coordinate statutory returns, registrations, renewals, inspections, and documentation.
- Maintain compliance records and registers required under applicable laws.
- Coordinate with government authorities, labour departments, consultants, and external agencies when required.
- Monitor changes in labour legislation and ensure timely implementation within the organization.
- Ensure compliance related to contract workers, manpower agencies, and third-party employees.
1. Dairy / Plant HR Support
- Support HR operations at dairy plants, processing units, warehouses, and distribution locations.
- Manage workforce requirements for production, procurement, quality, maintenance, logistics, sales, and support functions.
- Coordinate with plant management on manpower planning, shift requirements, attendance, absenteeism, and workforce productivity.
- Support employee discipline, engagement, welfare, and grievance management.
- Ensure HR processes are aligned with operational and business requirements.
1. HR Policies & Process Improvement
- Develop and continuously improve HR policies, processes, and documentation.
- Establish standardized recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Support development of organizational structures, job descriptions, KRAs, and reporting structures.
- Identify opportunities to improve employee productivity, retention,
and engagement.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of employee information.
Required Skills & Experience
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources from a recognized institution.
- 5+ years of relevant HR experience.
- Strong experience in Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and Statutory Compliance.
- Experience in Dairy, FMCG, Food Processing, Manufacturing, Agriculture, or a similar industry will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Experience managing both white-collar and blue-collar workforces will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with senior management and multiple departments.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, HRMS/HRIS, and HR reporting.
Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be someone who:
- Has hands-on experience managing the complete HR function.
- Can independently manage recruitment as well as HR compliance and operations.
- Has experience working in a plant/manufacturing environment.
- Is comfortable dealing with employees across different levels of the organization.
- Has strong ownership, execution, and decision-making abilities.
- Is willing to travel to plant/operational locations when required.
