Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Android Framework Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in AOSP (Android Open Source Project) and Android Framework development. Experience in the Automotive/Infotainment domain is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, integrate, and debug Android Framework/AOSP components.
- Work with Android HAL and AOSP architecture and understand the interaction between Framework, HAL, native layers, and hardware.
- Analyze and resolve CTS/VTS issues and ensure Android platform compliance.
- Work with SELinux/SEPolicy , including policy configuration, domains, permissions, and troubleshooting SELinux denials.
- Understand and work with Android configuration files, BoardConfig files, and device/vendor configuration .
- Independently analyze, debug, and resolve complex issues across the Android Framework and system layers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including BSP, HAL, kernel, middleware, and hardware teams to resolve platform-level issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis and provide robust fixes for Android system-level issues.
- Contribute to platform customization, integration, testing, and release activities.
Required Skills
- 3–8 years of hands-on Android Framework/AOSP experience.
- Strong understanding of AOSP architecture and Android Framework internals .
- Hands-on knowledge of Android HAL and AOSP architecture .
- Good understanding of SELinux/SEPolicy and Android security policies.
- Experience working with config files, BoardConfig files, device/vendor configuration , and related Android build configurations.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently analyze and fix issues .
- Experience in analyzing and resolving CTS/VTS failures .
- Solid programming knowledge in Java .
- Knowledge of C/C++ is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of Android build, integration, and platform-level development processes.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Automotive Android / Android Infotainment .
- Experience working with Android Automotive (AAOS) .
- Exposure to BSP, HAL, Kernel, or native Android layers.
- Experience with platform bring-up, system integration, or hardware-specific Android customization.
Education Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on AOSP/Android Framework Engineer who can independently debug platform-level issues, understand Android internals, work across Framework/HAL/SELinux layers , and resolve CTS/VTS compliance issues .
