Role Description This full-time hybrid Supplier Quality Engineer role is based in the Pune Division, with flexibility for some work from home. The role involves evaluating and qualifying suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring that supplied materials and components meet Victaulic’s quality standards and specifications.

The Supplier Quality

Engineer collaborates closely with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams globally to resolve quality issues, manage corrective and preventive actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives in the supply base.

Responsibilities include conducting audits, analyzing quality data, developing and maintaining supplier quality documentation,



and contributing to the implementation of quality management systems and best practices. The role also requires clear communication with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive alignment on quality expectations and project timelines.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 year of experience
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Quality to assess, select, and maintain reliable suppliers.
- Candidates should possess skills in Supplier Quality Management and Quality Management to implement and oversee standardized quality processes across the supply chain.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control to inspect, test, and verify materials and components against technical and regulatory requirements.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing or engineering environments, preferably in industrial or mechanical products, is beneficial.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis abilities, with familiarity in quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, and statistical analysis, are an advantage.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams, are important.
- Experience with ISO-based quality systems, supplier audits, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is beneficial.
