About the Role

We are an established UK-based architectural and design consultancy working on residential projects across London and surrounding areas.

We are expanding our technical team in Ahmedabad and are looking for a motivated Structural Engineer with 2–3 years’ experience to work closely with our UK team.

The successful candidate will assist with structural design, calculations and drawings for residential projects including house extensions, loft conversions, structural alterations and refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out structural design and calculations for residential projects
- Design steel beams, columns, padstones, lintels and other structural elements
- Assist with foundation and load-bearing wall design
- Prepare structural layouts, sketches and technical drawings
- Review architectural drawings and identify structural requirements
- Produce structural calculations for submission to Building Control
- Coordinate with architectural and design teams
- Assist with structural solutions for loft conversions, rear extensions and internal alterations
- Review site information, photographs and survey drawings
- Respond to design revisions and project queries
- Manage several projects while meeting agreed deadlines

Requirements

- 2–3 years’ structural engineering experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or equivalent
- Good understanding of structural analysis and design principles
- Experience designing steel, timber,



masonry and reinforced concrete elements
- Ability to understand architectural and structural drawings
- Strong technical and numerical skills
- Good written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a UK-based team
- Valuable attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- UK residential structural engineering
- House extensions
- Loft conversions
- Structural alterations
- Steel beam calculations
- Load-bearing wall removals
- Foundation design
- Building Control submissions
- UK Building Regulations
- Eurocodes / British Standards
- AutoCAD
- Tekla Tedds
- TEDDS / MasterSeries / similar structural design software

Previous experience working on UK residential projects would be a significant advantage, although training can be provided to the right candidate.

Qualifications

- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- M.E. / M.Tech in Structural Engineering would be advantageous
- Equivalent recognised engineering qualification

Salary

₹35,000–₹50,000 per month

Higher salary may be considered for candidates with strong experience in UK residential structural design, British Standards, Eurocodes or Building Control calculations.
