Ted Jacob Engineering Group (TJEG) is a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy providing structural, civil, MEP, BIM and engineering design services for a wide range of projects across the UAE and international markets.

As part of the expansion of our engineering operations, we are establishing a dedicated office in Andheri, Mumbai, which will support TJEG's ongoing projects and international engineering teams.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Structural BIM Modeler with 5–6 years of relevant experience to join our Mumbai office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate structural BIM models, producing coordinated drawings and documentation, and supporting structural engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

The role will involve working closely with structural engineers, BIM coordinators, architects and MEP teams across projects in the UAE and other international markets.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed Structural BIM models using Autodesk Revit based on engineering designs, calculations, specifications and project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain structural models for reinforced concrete, steel and other structural systems.
- Produce structural plans, sections, elevations, details and schedules from BIM models.
- Interpret structural engineering drawings, design information and project specifications accurately.
- Ensure models are developed in accordance with project BIM standards, modelling protocols and Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
- Coordinate structural models with architectural and MEP disciplines.
- Identify and resolve clashes and modelling issues using Navisworks and other BIM coordination tools.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and incorporate coordination comments into the model.
- Prepare shop-drawing-level structural details where required by the project scope.
- Assist Structural Engineers in developing design documentation and construction deliverables.
- Review structural models and drawings for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
- Maintain model integrity,



naming conventions, worksets, families, views and project standards.
- Create and modify Revit families and structural components where required.
- Assist in model audits, quality checks and BIM compliance reviews.
- Coordinate with BIM Managers, Structural Engineers and other discipline teams to meet project deadlines.
- Support preparation of BIM deliverables for international projects, particularly UAE-based projects.
- Ensure all work is completed within agreed project schedules and quality standards.
- Maintain proper documentation and revision control of BIM models and drawings.

Required Technical SkillsEssential
- Autodesk Revit Structure – Advanced proficiency
- Strong understanding of structural BIM modelling workflows.
- Good knowledge of reinforced concrete structures.
- Good knowledge of structural steel modelling.
- Strong understanding of structural drawings and construction details.
- Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection.
- AutoCAD for reviewing and working with 2D structural drawings.
- Understanding of BIM coordination procedures and workflows.
- Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings.

Preferred
- Experience working with UAE / GCC projects.
- Experience with large-scale commercial, hospitality, residential, mixed-use or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of BIM standards and LOD requirements.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360.
- Familiarity with Dynamo or other BIM automation tools will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of structural analysis/design software such as ETABS, SECURE or SAP2000 will be an advantage.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models.

Education
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
- Relevant BIM certification will be an advantage.

Experience
- 5–6 years of relevant experience in Structural BIM Modelling.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Revit Structure.




- Experience working on medium to large-scale building projects.
- Candidates with experience supporting international engineering consultancies will be preferred.

Work Location

TJEG India Office

Andheri, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India The position will primarily be based in the Mumbai office and will support TJEG's UAE and international project teams.
