Role Description This is a full-time, on-site STEAM teacher role based at Podar International School in Howrah. The STEAM teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons that integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics for assigned grade levels.

Responsibilities include designing project-based learning activities, preparing instructional materials, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role involves collaborating with other teachers to align curriculum, organizing classroom activities and demonstrations, and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment. The teacher will also participate in staff meetings,



professional development sessions, and school events that support student learning and community engagement.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Lesson Planning and Education, with the ability to design age-appropriate, interdisciplinary STEAM curricula.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication and Teaching skills to explain complex concepts clearly and engage diverse learners.
- Candidates should possess Training and classroom facilitation skills to guide students through hands-on experiments, projects, and team-oriented work.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Arts, or a related field; a teaching certification or diploma in education is preferred.
- Experience teaching in a school setting, ideally in STEAM or related subjects, and familiarity with project-based and inquiry-driven learning methods.
- Ability to use educational technology, lab equipment, and creative tools to enhance instruction and support different learning styles.
- Strong classroom management, organizational skills, and a commitment to inclusive, learner-centered education.
