Job Summary The ER Staff Nurse is responsible for providing prompt, secure, and effective nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Room. The nurse will assess and monitor patients, assist doctors during emergency procedures, administer medications, support resuscitation, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining high standards of patient safety and infection control.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform initial nursing assessment and assist with patient triage based on clinical urgency.

- Provide immediate nursing care to emergency and critically ill patients.

- Monitor vital signs, ECG, oxygen saturation, neurological status, and other clinical parameters.

- Assist emergency physicians during examinations, procedures, resuscitation, and minor interventions.

- Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and other treatments as prescribed.

- Establish and maintain IV access and manage IV therapy as per hospital protocols.

- Assist with BLS/ACLS and cardiopulmonary resuscitation during emergencies.

- Prepare and maintain emergency equipment, crash carts, emergency drugs, and other essential supplies.

- Recognize deterioration in a patient's condition and immediately inform the treating doctor/ER In-Charge.

- Collect and send blood and other specimens to the laboratory as required.

- Assist with wound care, suturing procedures,



dressing, splinting, and other emergency procedures.

- Maintain accurate and timely nursing records, medication charts, treatment records, and patient documentation.

- Ensure proper handover of patients during shift changes and transfers.

- Coordinate with ICU, OT, radiology, laboratory, blood bank, and inpatient departments when required.

- Follow infection-control practices, biomedical waste management procedures, and patient-safety protocols.

- Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, dignity, and respectful communication with patients and attendants.

- Educate patients and attendants regarding treatment, investigations, medications, and follow-up instructions as directed.

- Support smooth patient admission, transfer, referral, and discharge processes.

- Report incidents, medication errors, adverse events, and other clinical concerns promptly.

- Maintain cleanliness, readiness, and adequate stock of ER equipment and consumables.

- Participate in departmental training, emergency drills, audits, quality-improvement activities, and hospital accreditation initiatives.

- Perform other nursing duties assigned by the ER In-Charge or Nursing Management.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
