Job Purpose

Assist & coordinate SH Project (Capex Mech) in preparation of Capex proposals, monthly reports,execution of capex project as per management schedule with Safety and quality and monitor the all sanction Capex budget status for enhancent of plant relibilty & Cost optimization with proper coordination between OEM, contract workmans and inter departments.

Job Context & Major Challenges

Aditya Cement Works: a unit of UltraTech Cement Limited, a flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group is situated at Sawa-Shambhupura, District Chittorgarh (Rajasthan). Aditya Cement has 3 Lines. Line-1 was commissioned in Mar 95 with an installed capacity of 1 million tons (1 MTPA) cement annually, which has been enhanced to 1.8 MTPA. Line-2 was commissioned in August 2008 with an installed capacity of 3.2 MTPA while Line-3 commissioned in Feb 2015 with an installed capacity of 2 MTPA. This makes Aditya Cement one of the largest cement manufacturing units in North India with a capacity of 5 MTPA Cement & additional 2 MTPA Clinkerization at single location. Aditya Cement Works has its own captive power generation through Thermal Power Plant having capacity of 1x 23 MW and 2 x 25 MW suitable for multiple fuels. Unit also has a waste heat recovery system power plant which generates 16 MW power from waste gases of existing cement plant. Aditya Cement Works has been pioneer in implementation of world class systems like WCM, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, SA 8000, ISO 27001 and ISO 50001. Aditya Cement is the first cement unit in UltraTech to get accreditation from DNV for ISO 50001 (Energy Management System).d designing techniques in computers to achieve First-Time-Right Design & remove hurdles during erection.

KRA1

1. Project & Development :

Day to day planning & scheduling of project activities using PERT / Microsoft Project softwares to meet all project requirements and deadlines.

KRA2

Planning, estimation, work scheduling, execution & commissioning of capex jobs in targeted timeframe, minimum cost and paramount safety.

Finalization of project drawings giving much emphasis to cost, safety, metallurgy, maintainability, eco friendliness of the scheme.

Sourcing of suppliers and ordering of equipments on timely basis considering the target schedule of the project, ensuring correct specifications and common inventory.

Planning of all day to day activities & to supervise execution, commissioning of the project.

To prepare detailed equipment list & incorporate changes with respect to actual site conditions in the form of as built drawings for the completed project before handover to the department.

Coordination with other department heads & engineers to upkeep the status of all Capex jobs and subsequently preparing reports.

Cost control

Review and monitor cost reduction plans, and project expenses during project execution

Oversee all commercial aspects of the project and to secure the projects overall profitability, viz: 100 % Vertical start up. 0 % Development delays. 0 % Cost over run.

System implementation : Implementation and inclusion of quality, setting & safety systems in all project planning & activities.

Monitor quality systems ISO, TPM, OHSAS as per standards

Environment & Safety : To maintain safe and accident free workplace.

Ensuring safe practices are adhered to, with all rules & regulations prevailing as per world-class safety standards, upkeep with the environment and housekeeping.
