About the role

As a Sr. Software Architect, you will serve as the technical bridge between Q4 Platform architecture and the Virtua technical stack, ensuring architectural coherence as both systems converge. Reporting to the Architecture Leader, you will be embedded in the Architecture team's strategy while being physically located in India, translating strategic business priorities into actionable technical execution for local engineering teams.

This role requires a business-first strategic mindset paired with hands-on technical leadership. You won't just make technical decisions—you will articulate how those decisions drive core business outcomes, create customer value, and move product metrics. You'll drive the architectural strategy for migrating and integrating Virtua capabilities into the unified Q4 Platform, all while leading through influence across cross-functional stakeholders and geographies.

What you'll do

- Drive Business Impact: Map company strategic priorities directly to architectural decisions, ensuring that tech debt, migration paths, and platform design are anchored in customer value and tangible business outcomes.
- Lead Through Influence: Collaborate with, align, and influence cross-functional teams, product leaders, and stakeholders across both North America and India without relying on direct positional authority.
- Define Architecture Strategy: Develop and maintain a deep working knowledge of both the Q4 Platform and Virtua technical stacks to define clear technical migration and integration strategies (identifying what to migrate, sunset, or re-architect).
- Cross-Geographic Alignment: Participate in architecture reviews,



representing local capabilities/constraints while ensuring India teams are fully aligned with broader corporate goals.
- Technical Mentorship & Capability Building: Mentor and elevate senior developers and tech leads in India, instilling strong architectural standards and enabling autonomous, value-driven execution.
- Documentation & Governance: Maintain, optimize, and document architecture processes and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to ensure transparent communication across all stakeholders.

Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience developing commercial software products within product-based companies (SaaS / Product environment experience preferred over consulting/services).
- 3+ years in a dedicated architecture, principal engineer, or high-influence technical leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading through influence across cross-functional partners and multi-region engineering organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to frame architectural choices around business impact, revenue enablement, and customer outcomes.
- Direct experience leading multi-system integrations or platform migrations.

Technical Stack & Skills

- Strong proficiency in MERN stack, Python or .NET platforms.
- - Note: Candidates with another tech stack such as Java are welcome, provided you have strong, hands-on experience in AWS.

- Hands-on experience designing microservices, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and API integrations.
- Experience navigating the transition between legacy monolithic structures and up-to-date cloud-native environments.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Location & Logistics

- Ability to commute to Pune for a hybrid office experience.
