Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Functional Test Engineer with strong Healthcare domain expertise, SQL skills, and database testing experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating healthcare applications through functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing while ensuring data accuracy through backend database validations. The candidate should possess solid analytical skills, excellent defect management capabilities, and experience working in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.

- Perform Functional, Integration, System, Regression, User Acceptance, and End-to-End testing.

- Validate healthcare business processes including Enrollment, Claims, Billing, Member Management, Provider Management, and Eligibility workflows.

- Execute test cases, document test results, and report testing status to stakeholders.

- Perform backend database validation using SQL queries to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

- Validate interfaces, file processing, and data flow between integrated systems.

- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.

- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners,



and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Refinement, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.

- Support test data preparation and validation activities.

- Develop test summary reports and provide release recommendations.

- Perform root cause analysis for identified issues and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

- Ensure compliance with Healthcare regulations and business processes where applicable.

- Leverage Generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or enterprise-approved AI solutions) to improve test design, test case generation, and test documentation.

- Utilize AI-assisted tools to identify test scenarios, edge cases, and regression test candidates from business requirements and user stories.

- Review and validate AI-generated test artifacts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with healthcare business rules.

- Support AI-driven quality engineering initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

- Analyze AI-generated insights and recommendations to improve test coverage, productivity, and defect detection.

- Collaborate with QE leadership and project teams to evaluate and adopt emerging AI testing capabilities.
